Ah, Sally.  A bit part in Jacob’s story was just not enough for a passionate girl like you.

  1. Xilinoc says:

I wonder if there’s an age at which Jacob won’t be able to whup ass.

  2. Mike says:

Why do I get the feeling she’s more that just a beautiful woman? All hell is about to break loose, and she’s got all the keys.

  3. ghostwhitehorse says:

Somebodies cyberlegs have been hacked . . .

  4. Unmaker says:

She _looks_ at the empath, and now we know the primary empathy communication channel is visual. So she will feel the pain, and Enrique can try to manipulate her.

  5. CapnCoconuts says:

Jacob is certainly no slouch when it comes to hand to hand combat.

  6. --jt-- says:

“Cyberlegs” Yeah-ok. That works too. I thought it was either a conveyer belt or a tractor beem.
    Unmaker has a point.

  7. Pat Scaramuzza says:

I love watching everybody guessing about what happens next. 🙂 But I feel the need to mention that Sally doesn’t have cyberlegs. Just regrown ones.

  8. --jt-- says:

I’m really only trying to comment on the mismatch between the amount of time needed for the dialog and how little distance she’s covered running. (*bleh* this sentence looks wrong )

  9. Brad says:

For me at least, the lack of a frame of reference in the three panels makes it difficult to tell how far Sally has walked. It feels like the perspective is swiveling around the fight, but the fight feels like it should be moving around the room a lot.

  10. Pat Scaramuzza says:

I didn’t intend for her to be walking at all, just standing up and yelling at Kentaro. Interesting interpretations, though…

  11. --jt-- says:

    Pat,
I suggest, in the 2nd panel, pehaps make her legs spread more left-right than front-back.
