Ah, finally, we’re back with Jacob and it’s just him against Kentaro the A.I..  I love this sequence and how Kasey illustrated it.  From here till the end of the chapter is one hell of a ride…

Kentaro: Hey, Jacob.
Jacob: Kentaro? Thought you might be watching. I heard some scuttling earlier.
Kentaro: Probably just rats.
Jacob: I saw the rats in Msaka's army. One was carrying a grenade launcher.
Kentaro: That's Pietre. He's a good guy. He's not here, but...I do have drones.
Jacob: Hmn. Girii didn't tell me about those.
Kentaro: I know. Going to be honest with you, Jacob...

Discussion (3)¬

  1. Jordan says:

Alright… And now things are really going to heat up. Hopefully not because Kentaro’s found the nuclear launch codes.

  2. Drace says:

Something deadly lurks in these tunnels.

But I’m guessing kentaro is insane enough to think he has a chance of surviving Jacob.

  3. SpectralTime says:

“…I think she wanted me to kill you.”

    Just a guess, mind.
