The young have aspirations that never come to pass, the old have reminiscences of what never happened. It’s only the middle-aged who are really conscious of their limitations — that is why one should be so patient with them.

Chapter 16, Page 23

All right, that wraps up this little disaster zone.  But Jacob’s off to the next, it seems.

I’m taking my customary one day off between chapters.  I have a lot to do, including — (shudder) — upgrade my computer.  Because of the comic’s weekly schedule I haven’t upgraded since 2010, and Windows 10 auto-installed as 32-bit which is a problem.  I may also need to buy the new Photoshop.  (grumble)  But assuming I don’t completely blow up my PC, the comic will return next Thursday, November 5th.  See you then, as we start the first chapter in the final book of Genocide Man!

Caera: I'm just on sabbatical. As for Lola Lamb...tell her Jacob Doe is coming home.

The Windows 10 “upgrade” is as I see it something that might cause problems for more than one user. It has scared me away from further “updates” from Microsoft.

In any case – your comic is a long story but it’s good and I appreciate it!

My condolences on your Windows 10 upgrade. I took the plunge, as my notebook was fairly new and it wouldn’t be too miserable to reset everything. Once the upgrade was “successful,” I had to do some more stuff to get the UI from intermittently freezing and being really screwy.

I’m glad I only have one computer with Windows on it.

uhhg, sorry about the 32bit. On the whole I’ve no issue with Win10. Didn’t like the new browser and it’s useless UI (swear to ghods the tried get an apple feel and that UI is useless imho) Have fun.
