Now you see the nihilism inherent in the system! Now you see the nihilism inherent in the system! Help, help, I’m being depressed!

Chapter 16, Page 17

If anyone knows the recipe for roasted tank, it would be Jacob.  Maybe there should be a Genocide Man cooking show.  Caera can chop vegetables, Lola can work the ovens, Kevin would have been the taste tester, and I bet Joey could have killed with a wisk.

  1. The Anon says:

Why doesn’t he just stick them down the hatch? It’s open.

  2. Ming the Merciless says:

    Artistic licence…

  3. Cadet_Commissar says:

The funny thing it it probably wouldn’t kill the crew. Although a tank missing a tread and a main gun would definitely count as mission kilt.

  4. Brian says:

I’ve thrown grenades. It’s all artistic license. Both belts in the turret would of course shred the crew, but nothing would happen as depicted. Plus, that grenade design is from WWII. The current ones are little round balls, with a very bad attitude.

  5. Madorakas says:

Brian. Keep in mind that these zombies have lived isolated from the rest of the world. Naturaly they would end up whit old equpment.

If i had an army of super soldiers then why invest in new gear? Just let them go in as they are and whatch the fun.

Also coordination seems to be a serious problem, do you really want them messing around whit the newer bader grenades?

  6. Zarylo says:

    @Madorakas:
I agree with most things you say, however those are not super soldiers. Jian-shi are not stronger than ordinary humans, what makes them a big threath are their numbers and their high infectivity. (Even Jacob doesn’t know if they’re immune against the infection as genocide agents.)

They’ve been isolated from the world, and I doubt they have the means to do research on new equippment, heck I even doubt they have a working economic system to “invest” in anything.

The way I see it the Jian shi aren’t capable of much more than working with whatever they have on hand. That being WWII grenades and tanks.

Wonder what Remus has to say on the topic though.

  7. Pat Scaramuzza says:

It’s artistic license. Sometimes it’s best to draw something the way the audience expects it to look, rather than how it really would look. Visual shorthand is important.

That said, a lot can change in the next 100 years, including weapon designs that come back around to resemble old designs. So I don’t mind the visual shorthand at all, here.
