All right, rolling into the end of this chapter means we’re also getting to the last chapter in book 2. And you know what happens at the end of each book, right? Well, if you don’t know yet, you may realize it pretty soon…

Jacob: You two get under cover. Try to find a way off the continent. I'll handle this.
Roger: But...
Jacob: If the project is here, their drones could spot us at any second. This is a warzone and you're civilians. Get to safety. If I don't find you by nightfall, leave without me.
Zoey: If the base defenses are down, we can hijack an auto-jet!
Roger: What if they're all destroyed?
Zoey: There's an underground hangar. It's worth a shot!
Jacob: Going back to the base is not being 'safe'! Eh, they're clever, they'll be fine.

You intend to “handle” a Jian Shi army, a flight of ARMED drones, Abhik’s troops and one very pissed off Genocide woman……………
This I HAVE TO SEE
One note — I don’t think you should consider Abhik’s troops in the equation. 🙂
I’m going to hazard a guess and say that you’ll be taking a hiatus to get your ducks in a row for the next book. ^.^
Not planning on a hiatus, just my normal one day off between chapters. Although something should be happening any day now (WHY HASN’T IT HAPPENED YET IT’S DRIVING ME MAD) that will be mildly exciting for all of us.
If you are thinking like a Hobbit then going back to the base is the best thing to do.
“The closer we are to danger the further from harm we be” (not exact cvote).
“The closer we are”…
That was the story by Waffen SS St Loup(Marc Augier) in the
“Golden Fleece”, his story of fighting on the eastern front of WW II
He found the safest spot on the battlefield in Stalingrad was right next/under the soviet machine gun nests while all the freshmen were being slaughtered cowering further afield…
