Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I’m delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever!

Chapter 13, Page 10

Hello Zoey, and welcome to the comic!

This is the first page where I noticed that Michael’s subtle shift in art style was really paying off.  He’s working on chapter 15 now, so I’ve seen the great stuff he’s drawing, and you’ll see it soon.

Now, some site news.  Looking at the buffer I have, I’m not going to be able to roll the comic through the holidays.  I’m not sure how many people read it during the holidays anyway.  The good news is that next page is a pretty good place to pause.  So let’s make this official — we’ll have a page on Thursday, December 18, but then the comic will go on a short hiatus until Monday, January 5.  Sound like a plan?

Roger: So this is Spain?
Jacob: Not the fun part. Hmmn. I don't like the look of this.
Zoey: Well, hey there! A troublemaker, a troubadour, and the terrifying Mr. Doe. I'm Zoey. It's aces to meet you. Come on, let's get aboard.

  1. Moxie Man says:

    “Sound like a plan?”

You make it sound like we have a choice. (chuckle) It’s your graphic novel/comic to post as you please, Remus.

  2. Any of them could be described as troublemakers. Who’s the troubador?

  3. Rahka says:

She looks just like her avatar. Almost.

  4. bobdawg says:

    …. i guess so …..

  5. Anime fan says:

    Now that’s cheesecake.

  6. David Cowie says:

” I’m not sure how many people read it during the holidays anyway. ”
Your UK readers will have plenty of time to read it over the holidays, because the entire country shuts down (except for shops) from noon on Christmas Eve until 2nd January. Except for Scotland, where 2nd January is another public holiday.

  7. Remus Shepherd says:

Yes, Moxie, it’s my comic, but I like feedback. 🙂

  8. Jordan says:

I feel that someone is going to be hitting on his editor at some point on this flight.

  9. Ming the Merciless says:

Unless a troublemaker is hitting on her troubadour
or is it the other way around?

  10. Fred says:

I’ve observed over many years of reading web comics that buffers are apparently hard. Even some of the comics that provide a full-time living to their creators sometimes have no buffer.

So don’t worry about it. Thanks for telling us up front, because otherwise I’d be here looking for updates and wondering what happened. Cuz I (and I suspect most people) do read over the holidays, it’s a connected world after all.

I think it is actually smart to schedule in down time a couple times a year. Everyone deserves a vacation now and then.

  11. Sonja says:

I didn’t expect her to look so much like her avatar!

Many webcomics pause around christmas, so I wish you a good break and holiday!
