I have not failed; I’ve merely found ten thousand things that don’t work.

Chapter 13, Page 3

Any social commentary — or at least any coming from Jacob — is best delivered with dark humor.

Jacob: There's no way to change the modern world without murder or madness. Usually one leads to the other.
Girii: So what would you suggest?
Jacob: Simplest thing for me to do is to kill you all. Then the world gets back to status quo. Relax. I didn't say that I was going to do that. I just said it would be simple.
Girii: Right. So do you have a plan?

I really like Jacob’s face and pose in the last panel.

  2. The Aussie Bloke says:

Short term solutions = long term problems. A lesson it seems he has finally learned.

  3. Konrad says:

“For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.”

  4. Speedy says:

“Just a reminder that all the shit that’s going on? Kinda the fault of you existing and all. Just an FYI. We could fix it in like a few minutes.

But I’ll think of another plan.”

  5. Dave says:

I love Girii’s “You did NOT just say that!” face. XD

  6. Fred says:

Just finished binge-reading the entire archive. Really enjoying the story. Shout out to Kat and The Sunset Grill (http://sunsetgrillcomic.com) who pointed me here.

One observation about the timeline – in 2066 the population is 5.3 billion, and the description says 1.5 billion dead over the next 3 years. However, in 2069 it says the population is still 5.3 billion. So there’s a glitch somewhere.

Thanks for a great comic, and I look forward to reading it for a long time!

  7. Remus Shepherd says:

Thanks, Fred! Glad you’re enjoying the story.

Yes, I know the timeline is glitched, the readers pointed that out to me before. I have a fixed timeline that I’m putting into the published graphic novel — when I get a chance I should put that up here.
