I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready, you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me.

Just a brief moment of payback on this page.  Girii thinks a bomb is dropping — there isn’t time to argue with someone as pig-headed (hah) as Enrique.

  1. Sonja says:

Oh yes – yes, she can!

  2. ML says:

I love the look of surprise on Enrigue’s face (the eyebrows).

  3. Moxie Man says:

Pig head forgot you should never threaten or strike a lady.

  4. Unmaker says:

We now know what triggers the strength, but the source is still unknown, because according to her gene scan she has no genes for increased strength. I am betting she is a chimera like the slow-cows – somewhere inside her there is tissue that is not the same genes as the rest of her body and that tissue provides the strength. Unless a gene sample can reach that tissue it won’t find the cause of the strength.

  5. The Sidhekin says:

Unmaker, she’s second generation. While it’s not impossible that she’d be inheriting the alien tissue from her mother, it sounds messy and complicated.

Moreover, we have Remus “speculating that [acetylcholine] contributes to her strength”, which suggests a simpler way: Genes for increased strength hitherto unknown to the Genocide Project.
