All right. Finally through this emotional — but necessary — story beat.
It’s very hard to fit humor in when an emotional response is what’s required, so there haven’t been many jokes lately. And we still have Fumiaki’s breakdown to witness, so there are more emotional moments to come.
But the action is also kicking into high gear soon. First secrets are revealed, then the crying, then the fighting, then the jokes. Just like all my family get-togethers. 🙂
Girii: I -- It's normal. You're human, Kentaro.
Kentaro: Oh, thank God. I didn't know, I couldn't...
Girii: Hey -- just, hush... Hush, it's okay. All our fathers were monsters.
And yet, we didn’t actually see what she saw…
Bunny slippers? BUNNY SLIPPERS?!
😉
Gaijin, are you suggesting that Girii would lie to someone?
And yes, Scot, I specified bunny slippers in the script. Michael did a good job on them. 🙂
Aaaaand now, he know he’s gonna die soon(relatively)…
Mocheenes are good for many centuries for sure,
they can be updated eternally without moral anguish too…
It’s like feeling sorry for your dog…he has sooo
little time with us.
…Poor guy. I wonder if he knows who and what she is, but he wants to believe her so badly that he doesn’t even notice.
Though the empathy powers probably help, recalling those card-playing sailors from earlier on.
Guess we’ll never know.
Also, geez, where *doesn’t* Roger have cameras?
Hmm. I suppose it’s possible she lied, but without more information I can’t be certain of that.
I’m going to assume Kentaro is completely human until evidence suggests otherwise.
Oh Cap’n, my Cap’n, don’t you realize that would make him the only 100% human character in this comic? Roger doesn’t count since he’s at least 20% wifi router by this point :p
