I’m loading a few pages in advance, now. June through August is going to be a busy time for me, with a few trips out of town. Somewhere in the middle of that I have to find time to work on the published book, which is taking much longer than I anticipated. I have learned that comic books are *not* a one-man job…

Jacob: Roger -- tell me that you put a camera on him!
Roger: Oh, yeah. Let me see... Jacob? He's at the whale docks. And he has your Genocide case with him.

Okay, this camera angle is not from a camera on Fumiaki himself. Roger seems to have left some more cameras, or he hacked into Fumiaki’s own system.
Fumiaki-cam to find the location i guess, then switch to another cam planted earlier for a overview?
Just because the characters mention a camera doesn’t mean the viewpoint has to be restricted to that in terms of illustration, the author just chose to cut the camera back, showing Fumaki’s actions at that moment.
Considering the last AI to gain access to his genocide case I can understand why Jacob just put on the superspeed.
But the “bot” think he’s human…so no super speed for him…and so, he dont want to “die”, so he’s cautious…and slow…
I’ve just spent the last two nights reading the entire series up to this point, and all I can say is: wow! I’m absolutely loving this and cannot wait for the next page. 🙂
Thanks, Kaidah! Glad you’re enjoying the story.
As for Sonja’s camera/viewpoint observation; what you’re seeing is Roger’s final, edited documentary. With 22nd century editing equipment he can change camera angles by simulating the scene, pull in data from other cameras, and so on.
Outside the comic…I’m not going to show you exactly what Roger’s cameras are seeing. Most of the time it wouldn’t make any sense. 🙂
could also be a flying camera that is following him. Roger has crazy tech.
@Remus – sort of like how if we saw all the different angles shot while making a movie it wouldn’t make much sense? It’d just end up all disjointed and confusing.
