What is immoral is war itself. Once full-scale war has broken out it can never be humanized or civilized, and if one side attempted to do so it would be most likely to be defeated. That to me is the lesson of Dresden.

Chapter 10, Page 17

Hmn, now that this one’s done, I think I could have made it funnier if I strung it out more.  Build the anticipation for a page or two…and then have Girii fail miserably.  But Girii fans, take heart.  She’s going to be a major force before too long.

I don’t use thought balloons much.  The comic industry as a whole seems to avoid them, these days.  When you see them here, assume that Roger interviewed the person and asked what they were thinking.  Which in this case makes perfect sense, that he would wonder what the hell Girii was thinking here.

  1. Darls Chickens says:

Well, no surprise. The guy’s a superhero.
Even had his own underground comic back in the day.

  2. Ming the Merciless says:

As an Empath, she can make him feel weak like a babe in arms…an awakening?

  3. Garfield has produced more than enough thought bubbles to compensate for our contemporary times.

  4. toxicdelirium says:

    Well. That was anticlimactic.

  5. Soupygeorge says:

I like donkey-guy’s little Eeyore tail ribbon.

  6. Remus Shepherd says:

It might not be a guy-Donkey. 🙂 Michael did a great job filling in background characters on Fumiaki’s island.

But yes, as I said above I think my pacing is flawed in this sequence. Realize that this was written in November, when I was still getting used to the new writer/artist arrangement. That’s okay, this is setup for events that will start rolling soon.
