Being afraid of monolithic organizations especially when they have computers, is like being afraid of really big gorillas especially when they are on fire.

Great work by Michael here, wouldn’t you say?  Oh, and Jacob, you’re doing well too.

  1. NJB says:

Increasingly, Jacob is becoming the kind of person that I would love to have as a Grandfather.
“Grandpa Genocide is coming over for Christmas, no you can’t play with his dart gun! Remember what happened to Mr. Kitty the last time? “

  2. Skur says:

I have given the new art time to grow on me, but I find I cannot adapt.
I read Praesidium before Michael was announced to work here and liked it and I think it is nice artwork that he does here too, buuuuut…
I’ve “grown up” in this comic with the art by Remus and I found that I just cannot adapt to the characters having new faces, so to speak.
If you want to give me a treat, maybe once a chapter, throw in an image yourself, Remus. Some joke picture, some flavour artwork, just a nod to old times.
Other than that, I’m looking forward to be introduced to new content in Michael’s style.

  3. The Sidhekin says:

The faces linger. The scenery, the lighting, the panel layouts, the camera angles, the dynamics, Michael is doing great. But Remus’ faces left strong impressions, and those aren’t easily modified. Or should I say, mollified?

Okay, Michael’s Jacob is growing on me. Michael’s Msaka was spot on from her first appearance. Michale’s Zoey works fine. And while I’m still missing Remus’ take on the others, I expect Michael’s may yet grown on me there too.

But I would not mind the occasional “fun art” from Remus! 🙂

  4. Remus Shepherd says:

I’ll see what I can do. 🙂 But I think you’re crazy — Michael’s art is much better than mine, and there are shots he’s done that I couldn’t have attempted. This page and the previous one, for example, would have been beyond me. (At least, I couldn’t have finished either of them in one week.)

  5. john says:

I like the old Jacob better, but I’m not quite sure why. I suppose it’s because that one seemed more like an old man while this one seems more like a comic book character who is disguised as an old man.
