We’re not going to have one long fight scene all chapter. Got some revelations and intrigue happening also. Everyone’s got plans — you’d think they’d put them all on hold until they see who’s going to survive…

Joey: So where's your Genocide case, Jake? Been years since they let me play with one of those.
Jacob: You'll never find it.
Girii: You can't take that!
Roger: Dahnai, it's a weapon!
Dahnai: It's a bargaining chip. Now that the Genocide men are here, we'll need to bargain to survive. I'm sorry.
Jacob: But the analysis package was unlocked, Joey... (My old drill instructor would kill me for this.) ...it showed me the human genetic baseline has changed.
Joey: Oh?
Jacob: You'll never find it.

Joey: Oh?
(chuckle) Like any other contraption, if it stops working whack it a few times to fix it. 🙂
Is he trying to break the gun further?
Because that might actually be a good idea…the darts do nothing to Joey, but an electrical explosion might be another story.
He’s breaking the other gun as well. Now he’s got two mistuned, “useless” weapons.
What’s he planning to do? Cross the streams?
WAIT A MINUTE. They walked away from each other JUST LIKE THAT? Joey did all the effort to get Jacob and then thought: “Oh, he has my gun, maybe I should go over there” and Jacob just agreed rather than trying to kill Joey?
Jacob got away from Joey, but not far away. Not sure where you got that idea, since they’re still talking to each other.
How he’s planning to kill him…well, that’s still up in the air. 🙂
Those pistols are railguns, IIRC. The lightning is from the accelleration current arcing around the dart as it leaves the weapon.
I guess he’s making a TASER. If it’s a long range one, I’ll excuse it as Rule Of Cool.
Sounds like a couple of somebodies mistook “cute” for “nice”, there in the second panel.
