We’re taking a one-page detour to check up on Joey. Oh, good, he seems to be making friends. 🙂
I’m trying something a little different with the next several pages. We’ll see how it works out. Always trying to advance the artwork, step by step…

Joey: Nice little village you've got here. Seen any gringada lately?
Fisherman: Sim.
Joey: They pick up any mail?
Fisherman: No post, Senhor.
Joey: Jake's out here searching for something. Doubt it's buried somewhere. Hmn. Say...does anyone hereabouts carry the old smuggler's drop?

This is a great comic Mr Shepherd. I am a bit sad that I finished the archive today though. I love the dystopian humor.
“…he seems to be making friends”
Somehow the thought of Joey ‘making friends’ strikes me as ominous. That being said, congratulations on coming up with a character that is 98% scary and 02% sad.
We seem to be getting new readers every day now. Welcome!
As for Joey, he’s getting some character development soon. I hope to ramp him up to 99%. 🙂
Your drawing style has evolved nicely. The backgrounds have a lot of detail. The comic relief is nice too. The slo-cow is likeable and has nice shaggy hair. The story line is addictive.
I hope he meets an untimely demise before he gets to the slocows. I like the slowcows, but not him.
@ Mr. Ookami
You’ve just doomed the slos.
dear god. someone get this man some pants
Hey, if I were in Brazil, I’d wear shorts too. It’s hot down there.
Although for walking in the jungle itself, you might do better in long pants to prevent scratches and insect bites. Girii’s the only one wearing shorts in the jungle so far.
Got tactical vests like that…hot as hell in the heat…but great for storing “things” best unseen…
So I just marathoned this entire comic in about an hour. Me like.
Howdy.
