Come…dry your eyes. For you are life, rarer than a quark and unpredictable beyond the dreams of Heisenberg; the clay in which the forces that shape all things leave their fingerprints most clearly. Dry your eyes…and let’s go home.

Chapter 6, Page 8

So have you noticed by now that I just really love drawing hair? I think it’s one of the things that I’m good at drawing. I’d make this an all-hair comic if I could. It’s a shame that Jacob is bald…

A brief three-panels of silence before the storm. We’re back to Jacob and gang next page.

Dahnai: Tatsu, I'm going out dancing with that actor we met. He's got tons of bodyguards, so you don't have to worry about -- what are you doing?
Tatsu: Oh, I was revisiting some cell lifetime results. You have a mitotic phase that I've never seen before. It could delay...I mean, I thought maybe...
Dahnai: Hey. Hey, listen. It doesn't matter how long I live. What matters is that I lived, and I was free. The world will remember that. Don't stay up too late, okay?
Tatsu: Yes. Sure.

  1. мaгтэи says:

So the expectation was an immediate collapse following the rapid rise, when the norm is a plateau following a moderate rise. Observed results are showing an unexpected plateau similar to the norm, and he’s wondering how long it will hold. Next: either the collapse arrives, or he achieves an extension, but has to flee the Project.

  2. Konrad says:

I read my webcomics in alphabetical order, so after hearing your regrets over Jakob’s baldness the very next thing I saw was A Girl and Her Fed (note mouseover text).

  3. Chuk says:

Well, that is some good hair.

  4. Remus Shepherd says:

Heh, I do have to agree with the artist of A Girl and Her Fed, Konrad. Hair is fun to draw, but doing it too many days in a row cramps my hand up.
