This song has been going through my head for months. Maybe now that I’ve finally finished the page it goes into I can exorcise it from my brain. 🙂

A.I.: One last thing; a serenade! Do you like Leonard Cohen, Jacob? Or is he before your time? They say that there's a secret gene...that Adam had, and it made him clean. But you don't plan to get to heaven, do ya? It goes like this: You die, you wait, for genecheck at the pearly gate...with angels poised to cue the --
Roger: Huh?
Jacob: He's losing it. Run! Everybody, run!

Amazing stuff. Your comic reminds me of my old Daniel Keys Mouran books. I take it no one in their universe has figured out triple helix or more dna? not officaly any way right?
Thank you, Kaze!
I’m trying to keep the science pretty close to reality, so no craziness like triple helix DNA. I can’t really say more than that, but you might enjoy some revelations in the next chapter.
Dammit, why does this thing only update once a week!!!?!
(I mean, I know and understand why it only updates once a week in practical terms, but being dripfed a story is torture… I only ever buy any novels in a trilogy once all of them are out, for instance)
I LOVE that song. 😀 And I think I have an idea what happens when the AI finishes his chorus… I am darkly giddy.

So, stay away from Airbusses…A.I. plus big government back up…Same with Dassault…decline that ride offered by your billionaire “friend”!
Well I read the comic and then focused on the background and the pilots words. Interestingly enough some have taken action against the autopilot… Its pretty cool to see that a lot has gone into the background as well as the main story. Keep up the awesome work!
Yes, and most of those attempts on the autopilot are ending badly. I really was hoping for something more sophisticated than a mass crash (really, the AI only lives for 5 minutes, and this is its achievement?), but then, that’s really all you can do with airplanes in that time.
There are a few examples of cyborg triple helix. I believe there is a natural case of mutation as well. I’ll send you the links after I get a chance to research this more.
You better make a big picture of multiple airliners crashing into the building and surrounding area, some of them managing to pull up at the last minute as the AI loses control when the first plane explodes.
You have build up such a high tension that I really want something climactic now!
Triple-stranded DNA helices – endogenous and induced – are in fact well known, and an area of active research.
Sorry to be correcting you. On the bright side, you can now brag that there’s a DNA chemistry researcher who reads your webcomic.
I like how on other webcomics people talk about what the female lead should wear and here it’s all weapon mechanics and gene research.
I asked for opinions on what the characters should wear and didn’t get any. That’s okay, I have plans. 🙂
I looked up the triple helix DNA. Neat stuff. Researchers are slipping an artificial third strand in between the other two in order to encode information in the DNA. It’s also been seen in some bacteria. The outline of the story that I have doesn’t need triple helix DNA for anything, but it’s something that I’ll keep in mind.
Oh, and Tom — I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
