Ugh. Eleven panels. I’m an idiot. This page nearly killed me.

I wanted to blend a little of Mike Mignola’s style into the art in this chapter. Problem is, my normal goal when drawing is to look more like Geof Darrow — lots and lots of detail. Mike Mignola’s style does not blend with Geof Darrow easily. The scene-building inset panels and moody shading fights against added texture and line detail. Well, now I know.

Roger: How would he have gotten it forty years ago?
Girii: Jacob?

It’s a great look, but if it’s going to kill you, then I say that you learn from this experience and never repeat it. On the other hand, it’s a great look…

  2. Remus Shepherd says:

I’m going to find a happy medium, don’t worry. 🙂

  3. Gillsing says:

No, rats don’t count. Not unless they have cloaks! And even then, I’m not that kind of guy. 😉

  4. Remus Shepherd says:

Well sorry, but you’re going to have to wait a bit more if you want non-rat furries. 🙂

  5. Talos says:

The page might have come close to killing you, but it is to die for 😀

    …Sorry, couldn’t help myself! Don’t hurt me!

  6. Gekko says:

Am I the only wondering on re-reading where Pakawa is keeping a phone? Or would we rather not know?
