You may have noticed that I’m not fooling around with the art yet this chapter. I will soon — there are new techniques in each chapter that I want to try. But first I’m getting this dialog out of the way, and in the process building my buffer again so there’ll be no skipped weeks.

Jacob: Why?
Msaka: Dr. Fumiaki wants to meet you, but not directly. He's leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for you to follow. If you kill any of his friends along the way, he'll go even deeper underground, where you'll never find him. I'm glad you found me first. I can defend myself. So do you intend to kill me, Mr. Doe?
Girii: Jacob.
Jacob: Alright, alright. I'm not going to try to kill you.
Msaka: Thank you.
Girii: And? Go on.
Jacob: (sigh) And I'm...I'm glad I didn't eradicate your entire species.
Msaka: Well, apology accepted, I suppose.
Jacob: Why?
